History & Rollback
Transport → History lists every import and export that has run, with its status, counts, and timestamps. It’s also where finished exports are collected and where every run’s full report lives.
Downloading an Export
Control panel exports run in the background, so the package isn’t handed straight back to your browser. When the export finishes, its History row gets a Download button — and so does its detail screen. If you asked to be emailed, the completion report links you straight there.
Reviewing a Run
Open any import or export to see its full report: totals for elements added, updated, skipped, and failed; a breakdown by element type; and the individual elements behind each outcome, with the reason for every skip and failure. Unsupported field types are skipped with a warning rather than failing the whole import, so this is where you confirm everything landed as expected.
The same report is what gets emailed on completion and printed at the end of a CLI run, so the control panel, your inbox, and your deploy logs all tell the same story.
Rolling Back
Completed imports can be rolled back with one click. When you roll back, Transport:
- restores every updated element to the state it was in before the import, and
- deletes every element the import created.
This works because Transport snapshots the affected elements before each import runs.
Rollbacks Are Reversible Too
A rollback is itself snapshot-protected, so if you roll back and then change your mind, you can undo the rollback. Nothing about an import is a one-way door.
From the CLI
List recent imports and exports:
craft transport/history
Roll back a specific import by its ID:
craft transport/rollback 42
Snapshot Retention
How long and how many snapshots Transport keeps is configurable in plugin settings. Older snapshots are pruned automatically once they fall outside the retention window. See Configuration.
