Configuration
All Transport settings live at Settings → Transport in the control panel.
Temp Path
Where packages are staged while they’re being built or imported. Defaults to @storage/transport. Point it at a writable path with enough room for your largest package plus its bundled assets.
Max Package Size
The upload limit for imported packages. Raise it if you migrate large content sets with bundled asset files; keep in mind your server’s own upload_max_filesize and post_max_size limits apply too.
Include Asset Files
The default for whether exports bundle real asset files or export metadata only. Turn it off when the files already exist in the destination (for example, a shared volume) and you only need the asset records.
Snapshot Retention
How long — and how many — import snapshots Transport keeps for rollback. Snapshots outside the retention window are pruned automatically. Longer retention means more rollback history at the cost of more storage.
Match Existing Content on Import
Whether an import may recognize an element that already exists here under a different UID — a single by its section, a slug within its section or group, an asset’s filename in its folder, a user’s email, a product’s slug within its type, a variant’s SKU — and update it instead of adding a second copy. On by default.
Turn it off for strict UID-only identity, accepting that content which exists in both environments under different UIDs will be duplicated, or will fail to import where Craft can’t generate a unique URI for it. This never affects references: a relation, author, or structure parent always resolves by UID or not at all.
Notify on Completion
Whether the “email me when it finishes” option starts switched on for exports and imports. Each run still decides for itself — this only sets the default state of the toggle.
Additional Notification Emails
Extra addresses to copy on every completion email, separated by commas, on top of the user who started the run. Supports environment variables, so you can point staging and production at different inboxes. Notification failures are logged and never fail the run itself.
Log Level
The verbosity of storage/logs/transport.log. Raise it while diagnosing a tricky migration to capture skipped fields and per-element detail; lower it for normal operation.
Configuration File
As with any Craft plugin, settings can be overridden per-environment with a config/transport.php file, which takes precedence over the values stored in the control panel.
